I’m a stockbroker and I live up to my name, Chance, whenever I can. When it comes to women, I like to play it cool and not be so daring. Dalia and I have been dating for less than a year—we talked about going away, but I wanted it to be something low key and not a lot of cash.

My girlfriend, Jamie, and I have been dating for almost 10 years. We’ve had some weekend getaways to Miami and Mexico, but we’ve never done anything romantic. So for our 10-year anniversary (yes, I remembered this year), I decided to book a special romantic getaway and surprise her.

Europe might be glamorous and romantic, but it’s really expensive. The dollar is really week, so it’s not a bargain right now. Since my husband and I lost a lot of money in our 401Ks and other investments, we have been tightening our belts. I decided to try to find an alternative with a European feel.

Everybody in New York goes on vacation in the summer to escape the humid city. Usually, I take some time off and head for the country with my girlfriend, Stephanie. But this year, I decided we needed a “real vacation”. We’d both been working hard all year and needed to get away. I did a little research on the Internet and found Sandals Resorts. For a little more than a trip to Martha’s Vineyard, we got a week long trip in the Caribbean.

For my husband Jeremy’s 40^th birthday, I wanted to surprise him with a romantic getaway. I booked the Sandals Grande Antigua Caribbean vacation and our roundtrip flight. I even called his boss and got my husband time off of work. I asked him to meet me at the airport under the guise that my mother was flying in and we had to pick her up at the airport.

Some people think Los Angeles is an oasis, but it’s not really. Sure the weather is great, but there’s tons of smog, traffic and stress living in the Big Bad City. I work for one of the studios, so when it comes time for vacation I really need to get away. A co-worker told me she had taken a Sandals Resort Beach Vacation and it was so relaxing, affordable and fun. I went on the website and was really intrigued!
